There was a lot to take in at this year's AGM
Diss Mayor Jane Trippett-Jones helped everyone understand the role itself and why it is so important for Diss. Through her efforts, they are checking us out from all over the world! Her adventures with 'The Hairy Bikers' turns out to be a popular internet visit.
Sue Reeve gave an update on the Cornhall project and showed how, even in its infancy, it has already made an impact on Diss business.
Our own Brian Bale gave the treasurers report, so everyone knows where the money goes....and why there is never any left!
Finally, and this brought out a significant number of Diss traders, Mike Pursehouse of South Norfolk Council outlined proposals for CCTV in Diss. There was a healthy debate going, with a number of valid points raised and DBF will be following up and taking the lead on this issue that will have a huge impact on the Town.

75 minutes by Train from Diss to London?!
You may have heard something about the campaign afoot to upgrade the rail service between Norwich and London, shortening journey times significantly. Under this proposed upgrade, Diss to London would only take 75 minutes.
